Choosing the right color tone

Many phones have options to set color tone.This is a pretty cool and useful feature but mot users don't use it. Here is a description of  various options in color tones

• Normal : This produces a normal image with natural colors.
• Sepia : Sepia is dark brown-grey color. Using it produces an effect similar to the effect of aging in old photographs and photographs chemically treated for archival purposes.
• Grayscale : In this mode the natural colors of image are not present. The grayness of image is calculated on the basis of natural color intensity. This effect can be put to use for taking very nice portrait photos and macro shots 

• Vivid : A very useful mode indeed. It over saturates the colors producing bright colorful photos. This mode should be used in :

                 1.  Any situation when the subject is dull
                 2.  Photos taken in direct sunlight. In normal mode these may appear washed out
                 3.  Macro shot of flowers, leaves etc

• Negative : Negative mode can produce amazing artistic effects. Look at the image below
