Editor's Review of the LG Cookie Lite
The LG Cookie Lite T300 is the successor to LG's popular Cookie handset. The Cookie Lite is simply a miniature version with a smaller touchscreen, although it also comes equipped with some more basic features, proving to be the perfect handset for a child or teenager.
Design/Build
The name 'Cookie Lite' really says it all, as this handset really is tiny. It measures in at 95.8 x 50.5 x 11.9mm, and weights just 77g, making it one of the most lightweight smartphones ever. It's also more square than most smartphones, making it sit comfortably both within your hand and in your pocket. It may be small, but the handset still rocks a 2.4 inch touchscreen complete with on-screen QWERTY keypad.
OS and Interface
The handset comes complete with a Cartoon UI, giving the phone a friendly and entertaining feel from the get go. It's also simple to customize the Cookie Lite's interface to suit it to your personal preferences, providing you with 'drag and drop' shortcuts, including calender, email and web browser.
As the Cookie Lite comes with resistive touchscreen, it does require a certain amount of pressure to work. However, once you've got the hang of the touchscreen, you'll see it is one of the most simple to use on the market. With no physical keyboard provided, all messaging is done using the handset's on-screen QWERTY keyboard, which although fiddly to use at the beginning, is easy to get used to. It can also be used both horizontally and vertically, automatically rotating as you move the handset.
If you are a clumsy texter or have large fingers you may find it better to opt for the LG Cookie KP500, which provides you with a larger touchscreen display.
