Some of the common problems you may face while using N8 and their solutions
- 2MB attachment size limit to email. Some have the problem, some don't. : This is apparently due to Nokia routing the email via their servers. A way around this is to decline the terms of service when setting up a mail account. This should allow you to manually set up your account. This will bypass the Nokia servers and not impose the limit. Unfortunatly if you have already setup your mail, the only known way is to factory reset your phone, and then go through mail setup as described. This is a major pain, and if anyone knows an easier way of doing this, please post it.
- Bundled headset (not all regions) controls not working. : The N8 doesn't recognise it as a headset - for some unknown reason - so you have to change it in the accessory settings. May also need a reboot
- BT homehubs having trouble with N8 wifi. : Some BT homehubs have trouble with wireless network N devices. You can check the label behind the box and if it says "Type B" in the lower lefthand side corner of the sticker then you should choose a lower setting (B/G).
- Message stuck in outbox.Sometimes messages get stuck in the outbox and cannot be deleted. The solution is to delete the entire conversation.
