All the 3 newly launched symbian devices feature AMOLED display. Nokia was the first to introduce this technology in n85 followed by n86. Earlier these displays were only considered to be good indoors but now AMOLED has evolved a lot with improved sunlight legebility. When compared with traditional displays AMOLED seem to deliver stunning picture quality and brilliant color reproduction. If you have used AMOLED you would never use LCD displays again. With AMOLED movie viewing is a pleasure. One thing which comes to mind when talking about AMOLED is the wide viewing angles. But what you will love is the screen contrast and true black colors.
AMOLED consumes less power and hence saves battery. This is because it can switch individual pixels on and off. So more black area on screen means more power saving. Its an advice to use black themes to get better battery output
