Improve your mobile's battery life

Do you recieve 'low battery' notifications very often? Do you think your mobile's battery backup is poor? Then this article is a must for you.
Here is a list of tips that can improve your battery life
1. Charging : Don't keep you phone plugged in. Discharging is as important as charging. If you have bought a new phone them don't charge it untill battery low notification appears. Allow it to charge and discharge fully.
Many people keep using their phone continuously while keeping it plugged in for hours. This habit decreases battery life.
2. Background apps. : Symbian brings true multitasking to smartphones but many people who are newbies don't exit apps but simply press the call end key to return to homescreen. This method does not end the app but simply minimizes it. Minimized apps keep using your battery. Try to end all non useful apps. You can check the running apps by long pressing the menu key.
3. Network : Patchy network eats battery like anything. If you are travelling and network reception is poor them switch to offline profile. You may not know but radiation from phone increases with each fall in network bar. Never attempt a call when there is only a single network bar. It is not good for health.
4. 2G/3G : 2G standby and talktime is much greater than that of 3G. It is better to turn your network to GSM when you are not browsing or video calling. It will prevent useless drain of battery in situations such as watching movies.
