N8 vs Galaxy - bigger is not always better

Nokia N8 has been blamed for low processing power(680Mhz) compared to Samsung galaxy and Samsung Wave. 1Ghz is definately better and faster. N8 fans have put up many points in favour of N8 like dedicated GPU. Also they say that Symbian does not require 1Ghz. All these facts however dont prove that N8 is better than Galaxy in terms of processing power.
However here is a very simple calculation which actually gives N8 the lead.

The resolution of N8's screen is 640*360 = 230400 pixels. When compared with Galaxy 480*800 = 384000 pixel; this means the galaxy has to process 1.66 times info everytime. But when we compare the processor (1Ghz vs 680Mhz) the galaxyS is only 1.47 times "faster" To come up to the mark of N8 Galaxy needs to have 1.1 Ghz processor. Though the difference is not much, it proves the point clearly. And N8 has a dedicateg GPU too !!! Did someone say retina display ;-)
